How to Measure
Easy and quick Steps to measure
Solaris Valance and Solaris Cassette Awnings
For Decks, Patios and Balconies
Step 1. Measure the height from your deck or patio floor vertically up to the installation point of your Awning. The installation Point is depending on your application, this could be wall, ceiling, eave or roof installation. If you have less than 7ft. 6 inches from your deck or patio floor to the installation point wall, ceiling or eave, we strongly recommend a Roof-installation. Note: In order to have enough head room under the Awning the height should not be less than 7ft. 6 inches.
Step 2. Measure the desired width of your Solaris Retractable Awning, you can choose a width from 8 ft. to 19 ft. in 1 foot increments. We recommend to extend your Awning at least 1ft. on each side to get the best shade value. Note: The actual Fabric width is 6 inches less than the total Awning width. In order to install your Awning properly you need a horizontal clearance of at least 9 inches with no obstructions. Wall lights, speakers or other objects can be replaced.
Step 3. With the width you measured for your Awning, you can now choose the related projection. Please choose the available projection in the list below.
Width | 8 ft. | 9 ft. | 10 ft. | 11 ft. | 12 ft. | 13 to 19 ft. |
